A leading engineering firm in Southampton seeks a Technology Design Manager to design and deliver security systems for critical national infrastructure projects. The role includes leading security design projects, ensuring compliance with standards, and coordinating with stakeholders. Candidates must have a relevant engineering degree, experience in security system design, and the ability to obtain UK security clearance. The Technology Design Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering complex security systems (e.g. CCTV surveillance, access control, perimeter intrusion detection) on critical national infrastructure projects, including but not limited to National Grid sites. This role ensures that security solutions are technically sound, compliant with industry standards, and meet the client’s protection requirements. They act as the bridge between client security needs and the engineering teams.
Applicants should fit the criteria to obtain UK security clearance, either holding or be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC). This means having a 5-year UK residency and background that can pass government vetting. Applicants must also have the right to work in the UK without limitations.
