Established world leader with a comprehensive range of safety systems built to provide high-quality access/locking systems, ensuring the safety of both people and equipment operating in harsh and safety critical environments. This is outside IR35 contract role.

Role Overview

ASAP start contract role to provide immediate support in global projects. You will interact across the world with a global team as well as in the office with a local engineering team and the sales team supporting technical documentation for the UK and the global business.

Responsibilities
  • Develop technical documentation (60–70% of the time) – reviewing technical manuals, training publications, product guides, and installation guides.
  • Assist commercial functions (30% of the time) – develop brochures, technical training, and create graphs and wiring diagrams for engineering teams.
Essential Requirements
  • Technical writer/author with previous experience writing documentation for hardware-oriented products (not software); design and illustration experience (cabling diagrams, electrical drawings).
  • Experience creating technical publications such as datasets, installation manuals, and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to help content creation for brochures.
  • Technical engineering background or exposure to understand products; ability to learn how to use products and work with engineering on installation details.
  • Proficiency with design and documentation tools such as Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, or other illustration tools (e.g., Canva); some graphic design experience required.
Desirable Requirements
  • Degree-level education in technical communication, engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in safety‑critical industries.
  • French language speaker.
