TEACHER - LEADER OF FOUNDATION LEARNING

Salary: Teacher Salary Scale, plus TLR2 £3,590 per annum

Required for January 2026 or as soon as possible

The Governing Body of Glenboi Community Primary School would like to recruit an excellent teacher to take a strategic lead for the Foundation Learning.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity in which the successful candidate will play a key role in the further development of our wonderful school.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a proven track record as a highly effective and innovative teacher who has the potential to become an outstanding practitioner/leader
• Has high expectations of all pupils and is committed to raising standards
• Has experience of leading a subject or strategic area within school, understands school improvement processes and is able to demonstrate impact.
• Will to continue to drive forward the already high standards within the school and support dedicated staff to ensure whole school improvement.

They will:

• Be a highly effective classroom practitioner, demonstrating creativity and initiative.
• Be adaptable and resourceful
• Demonstrate high expectations in children’s learning and behaviour whilst focusing on key nurture principles.
• Demonstrate a commitment to equality of opportunity and inclusion.
• Demonstrate the skills and experience necessary to provide effective leadership
• Actively support and contribute to the school’s positive behaviour policy.
• An interest in Welsh is essential.
