Job description
Sessional Construction Teacher

We are looking for a Sessional Construction Teacher at Fulham Correctional Centre to deliver high‑quality training and assessment in Civil Construction and Pre‑Apprenticeship programs to adult learners within a correctional setting.

Role Type: Part Time (0.6/3 days a week), Ongoing

Salary (FTE): $83,367.00 – $95,077.00 plus Super (dependent on qualifications and teaching experience)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver accredited civil construction and pre‑apprenticeship training aligned with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Support learners to build confidence and competence in construction skills and workplace readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learner needs.
Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE40122) or currently enrolled and completing.
  • Relevant and current civil construction experience (essential).
  • Experience delivering training in adult education or vocational settings (beneficial but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a correctional environment.
