Salary: Up to £13.60 per hour

Hours: Full time/Part time

Are you a unique and naturally caring person who wants to join a brand new domiciliary care company that pays a competitive wage? If so this might just be the perfect job for you! We have a lovely team of care assistants and we are looking to add fresh faces to support our customers in their own homes. We provide full training in person and online through our brand new training academy.

Summary of role

To support with personal care and support needs of customers in a way that respects dignity and promotes independence. Care and support provided includes personal care, medication, light housekeeping duties and shopping.

Principal Responsibilities
  • To assist clients who need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, including dressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet.
  • To help clients with their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of personal aids and equipment.
  • To care for clients who are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding etc.
  • To provide care and support for clients who are terminally ill.
  • To help in the promotion of mental and physical activities of clients through talking, outings, reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
  • To make and change beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes and general tidying.
  • To set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, clearing away and washing up.
  • To read and write reports and be involved in clients’ reviews and training activities.
  • To adhere to all Caremark’s policies and procedures at all times.
  • To report any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client to the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager.
  • To encourage the independence of clients wherever possible.
Shift Pattern
  • Typical shift pattern is 7am - 2:30pm and 3:30pm – 10pm (times may vary).

Requirements
  • We will help you develop your skills and qualifications through NVQ/QCF level 2 and 3. We will support you with Social Care Wales registration.
  • This role is non-sponsored.
  • Due to the nature of the role females only are required.
  • We require eligibility to work in the UK and that you own a vehicle and have a valid UK driving licence.
