A community support organization is seeking a Support Coach in Greater London. This role involves supporting residents recently released from prison, helping them reintegrate into society and rebuild their lives. You'll monitor their wellbeing, create support plans, and engage them in activities to promote their independence. Ideal candidates will have a passion for community work and experience in criminal justice settings, offering 25 days annual leave, professional development, and wellness support.

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday working on a rota between 08:00 – 21:30. Shifts are 12.5 hours with a one hour unpaid lunch break. You may be required to work outside these hours, including bank holidays, as per service and resident requirements.
We are hiring a Support Coach to join our team based in Elephant and Castle. You will be based within an established Independent Approved Premises (IAP) commissioned by the Criminal Justice Service. You will support residents who have recently been released from prison and are moving into our residential accommodation, helping them to reintegrate into the community and reduce re‑offending rates. You will play a vital role in empowering residents to rebuild their lives and communities.
As a Support Coach you will identify resident needs and provide person‑centred, tailored support to help them overcome personal challenges and barriers, to achieve their goals. You will encourage engagement in activities, provide tools and resources for life skills, and ensure effective risk‑management protocols are in place in adherence to license conditions, with a focus on public protection. You will work as a team to meet service KPIs while striving for positive change.
You will continue to work in a trauma‑informed, psychologically safe environment that respects and responds to the needs of residents and staff. Our mission is to empower independence through trauma‑informed solutions and partnership, keeping people out of prison, hospital, and the streets.
