EKC Ashford College, part of the East Kent Colleges Group, is seeking three talented Supply Lecturers with experience in Music, Media or Art to join our approved staffing pool.

As part of a group of six colleges across East Kent (Ashford, Broadstairs, Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone, Sheppey), plus our apprenticeship and adult training units, you’ll have opportunities to be considered for work across a range of learning environments. Many of our Supply Lecturers go on to secure further roles within the Group.

Pay and Conditions: Supply Lecturers are paid £18.72 per hour worked; if planning and admin is required, a further half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. £140 per day is therefore the rate for 5 hours teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin.
Important Note: Any addition to the approved staffing list is not a guarantee of employment or hours of work. Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are complete, you will then be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work. You will be highly organised, creative, and confident in planning and delivering engaging, innovative lessons. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you’ll be assessing and tracking student progress to plan effective interventions and ensure every learner develops the skills they need to succeed.
You’ll be able to teach a range of study programmes and courses from Level 1 to Level 3, motivating learners to achieve and reach their full potential.
