*Driving licence is essential due to the location of the role

The Role

A well‑run store is at the heart of our operation, without it, our technical teams would struggle to be successful in their roles, which would adversely impact our clients and their customers. Within our stores we hold a variety of stock to keep the operation running, such as pipes & fittings used in the water industry and we need you to take charge and make sure all these items are stored safely, can be found easily and records are up to date.

Activities you’ll get involved in:
  • To take delivery of goods delivered into the stores, with the use of forklifts where required.
  • Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity
  • Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels.
  • Put materials away in stores after deliveries.
  • To get materials out ready for collection and for the issuing to jobs, using the IT equipment provided.
  • Assist with stock checks when required. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
  • Assist with quarterly and full stock taking activities
  • Loading and offloading of vehicles by forklift, once training has been completed
  • Delivering supplies to our teams

Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred and a fully valid driver’s licence is essential. A forklift licence would be a big plus.
Comfortable using technology and an appreciation of keeping systems up to date.
A client‑focused and ‘get it right first time’ attitude.
Out of hours working may be required to cover the needs of the business in certain situations.
Full training will be provided.
