Job Description
To perform assembly, qualification testing, factory acceptance testing and service redress of Well Completion Tool products.
Adds value by ensuring WCT products are realized and ready for transfer to manufacturing hubs and delivered in compliance with customer expectations.
Assemble/repair equipment and/or tools from drawings, B.O.M's and assembly procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assembles and completes Factory Acceptance Testing of WCT products as per technical documentation, drawing specification, process, QC and QA.
- Collaborates with engineering to assemble first article products and develop assembly and factory acceptance test technical documentation.
- Collaborates with engineering to execute product qualification test programs and test reporting.
- Ensures Factory Acceptance Testing of WCT products as per engineering technical documentation, drawing specification, process, QC and QA.
- Ensures Service Redress of WCT products as per engineering technical documentation, drawing specification, process, QC and QA.
- Supports effective assembly planning and kitting operations with respect to production schedules.
- Performs housekeeping duties in a production assembly workshop.
- Compiles and completes necessary assembly and testing documentation to verify conformance, providing full traceability of all activity associated with the assembly and factory acceptance testing of WCT products.
- Represents Weatherford via collaboration with third party inspectors as necessary to ensure customer quality control plan witness requirements are adhered to.
- Supports design for assembly via attendance and contribution to product design reviews and production line assembly design reviews.
- Provides continual improvement feedback to line management and engineering as necessary to ensure assembly and factory acceptance test operations are adequately resourced.
- Collaborates with inspection and engineering as necessary to troubleshoot and fault find non‑conforming components, sub‑assemblies and/or products.
- Supports technology transfer, knowledge, training and competency development of strategic manufacturing hub workshop technicians.
- Proficient at interpreting engineering drawings.
- Proficient with measuring instruments, hand and power tools, and measuring devices.
- Communicates effectively with Engineering and Test departments.
- Performs final inspection of all assemblies and documentation, when required.
- Performs various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications
- ONC, HNC, NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent accredited apprenticeship.
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in mechanical assembly and/or manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years in senior role.
- Previous experience with Completion tools is advantageous.
- Forklift Certification.
- Gantry Crane/Banksman Slinger Certification.
Skills
- Experience in the assembly & test of Completion products.
- Experience in the assembly of electro, hydro, mechanical systems.
- Experience in fitting and safety protocols associated with high pressure and high temperature assembly and test operations.
- PC literacy (reports, forms).
- Advanced knowledge and comprehension of mechanical drawings and B.O.M's.
- Familiar with manufacturing processes.
- Experience in lithium battery handling, control and safety procedures.
- Experience working to NAS 6 cleanliness standards.
