A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology to work at Salisbury District Hospital. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality diagnostic services and support in a team environment. Responsibilities include performing laboratory tests, interpreting results, and supervising staff. A BSc in Biomedical Sciences and HCPC registration are required. We are seeking an experienced, well‑motivated and suitably qualified Specialist Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology to work at Salisbury District Hospital. Working as part of a team you will contribute to the provision and further development of a high quality diagnostic service. You will support the Senior Biomedical Scientists responsible for the day‑to‑day organisation of the laboratory. You should be highly motivated, a good communicator and enjoy working as part of a Pathology‑wide team. Rotation throughout the laboratory will be expected and training will be provided. The laboratory has core hours of 09:00 – 17:30, but provides 24/7 cover via extended hours and an on‑call service. Once successful training is complete, the successful candidate will be expected to participate fully in extended hours, weekends, bank holidays and on‑call rotas. Applicants must be HCPC registered and have an IBMS Specialist Portfolio.
