About The Role

We’re seeking an experienced and confident Advanced Social Work Practitioner to lead and support a small team within the Assessment & Duty Team on a part‑time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong statutory experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, delivering high‑quality assessments and interventions that make a real difference to children and families.

You will play a key role in embedding best practice and ensuring consistent, reflective supervision across the team. The successful candidate will champion the Stronger Together model, underpinned by Signs of Safety, working collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a small team, providing reflective supervision and guidance.
  • Undertake complex duty and assessment work in line with statutory requirements.
  • Deliver timely, outcome‑focused interventions with a child‑centred approach.
  • Drive best practice and promote the Stronger Together model.
  • Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to ensure effective safeguarding.
  • Support team development and quality assurance of casework.
What We're Looking For
  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration (SWE).
  • Significant statutory experience in Duty & Assessment.
  • Skilled in reflective supervision and team leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection, legislation, and safeguarding practice.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

  • Must speak English to an appropriate professional standard.
