WaMT is working in partnership with Stonbury to provide paid training and employment for those looking to start a career as a site operative.
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the post-holder will be responsible for delivering works, as described in the role profile, to a high standard and in a timely manner. You will work in line with our core values and role model our sustainability culture.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the Company Management System is followed at all times
- Assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing of building materials and plant
- Store, handle, use and dispose of materials in the correct manner
- Perform physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage and kerb laying, material mixing and application
- Operate heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training e.g. diggers/dumpers/compressors
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment including wearing full PPE, at all times
- Following the Company Safety Handbook, and all other safety instructions
- Following all training and reasonable instructions given
- Ensure that all activities are always in line with the company policy ‘Making Health & Safety our Priority’
- Maintain and promote the Stonbury brand and live our Core Values
Training Provided:
- C&G Confined Spaces Medium Risk course
- EUSR National Water Hygiene
Skills and Experience
- Experience of working on-site, in a labourer capacity.
- Possess a conscientious and positive attitude to work.
- Be self-motivated and have the ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work at heights safely, following relevant training.
- Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility.
- Ability to lift, carry and push equipment.
- Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and reporting relevant matters.
- Demonstrate good driving skills in company vans, where driving will be monitored and tracked.
- Willingness to attend training courses, as and when required.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home, as and when required.
- Experience gained within the water industry, ideally clean water industry, at any level.
- Possess a full, clean UK driving licence.
