Role Description

This is a full‑time site‑based role for a Site Engineer based in Bridgwater, Somerset. The engineer will assist the engineering team in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification in order to fulfil the assigned project safely, on time and to the required quality. Shift patterns are required for this role in a 10 on, 4 off pattern, working hours 12:00 noon to 22:30.

Daily Tasks
  • Regular communication and reporting to multiple stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of projects, including coordination of subcontractors.
  • Assist in providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
  • Responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances.
  • Assist in preparation of “as‑built drawings” and recording and testing of workmanship and materials.
  • Assist in maintaining registers and ensuring timely completion of safety and quality documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree level/HNC/HND qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of site experience, including setting out and reinforced concrete.
  • Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practice.
  • IT skills including AutoCAD 3D.
  • Due to the nature of the work and location, a BPSS level of security clearance is necessary.
Desirable
  • CSCS, TWS or TWC.
  • BIM / Navisworks / MS Office.
