Salary: Up to £44,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Overview

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Sister - Charge Nurse to join their team of staff in the Nursing department. This is a full‑time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include
  • Provide hands‑on clinical care, acting as a senior point of support for complex or deteriorating patients.
  • Coordinate daily clinical activity and ensure safe staffing levels, skill mix, and continuity of care.
  • Allocate and supervise staff during shifts, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and patient needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NMC and organisational standards.
  • Act as a key liaison for patients, families, consultants, and members of the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist with the coordination of admissions, discharges, and patient flow within the department.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
  • Significant post‑registration experience in an acute or relevant specialty.
  • Experience in leading and supervising a team within a clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical decision‑making, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Commitment to high standards of patient care and professional development.
  • Experience in Emergency/Urgent Care Centre essential.
  • Must have application of specialised Emergency knowledge in practice.
