About The Role

Falmouth University is seeking an SEO Specialist who is knowledgeable about search engine optimisation and can support wider marketing efforts to raise the profile of the University online. The successful candidate will work within the Marketing & External Relations team and be directly involved with creating, implementing and reporting on a solid organic search strategy, primarily driving student recruitment through effective technical and content‑based SEO practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an organic search strategy that increases student recruitment.
  • Collaborate with Digital colleagues (Web Editors and Copywriters), Design and academic staff to ensure keywords and messaging are audience‑driven.
  • Liaise directly with our web‑development agency to brief and oversee the implementation of technical SEO improvements.
  • Analyse performance data, prepare reports and recommend adjustments to enhance search visibility.
About You

You are a proactive team player, conscientious and hard‑working. In a fast‑paced environment you plan effectively while remaining agile when needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical work to wider teams are essential.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Detailed knowledge of current technical and content‑based SEO best practice.
  • Extensive experience delivering hands‑on SEO work and achieving strong results.
  • Experience briefing developers on technical SEO changes.
  • Organisation skills: confidently managing a varied workload.

This is a fixed‑term maternity cover of up to 12 months. We offer flexibility in working hours (minimum of 3 days per week); please indicate your preference in the application form and it will be discussed further at interview.

Our team works a hybrid model with a minimum of two days per week at our Penryn and Falmouth campuses. Remote working is not available for this role.
