Role description

Arcadis is working across major capital investment programmes pan‑Ireland (multi‑million and multi‑billion £/€ schemes), across the infrastructure, transportation, and buildings sectors. We work with a variety of clients, collaborating across the supply chain to ensure our client’s programmes are delivered effectively, efficiently, and their requirements are met. Our team provides multi‑disciplinary solutions to our clients, bringing expertise from project & programme management, controls, cost & commercial, design & engineering, digital intelligence, and advisory skillsets. Providing value‑adding standardisation, insight, and control is at the heart of supporting the success of our clients and their programme delivery teams. Due to increased demand and plans for growth in Ireland supporting our major clients, we are looking for an energetic and well‑rounded planning and controls professional to join our Major Projects team. The individual will join our programme management & controls team, providing solutions for our key clients across the transportation, infrastructure and buildings sectors.

Role accountabilities

  • Hold client‑facing delivery roles working directly with our key customers for major projects within the infrastructure and transportation sectors, bringing best‑practice planning, controls and risk solutions.
  • Bring planning, controls and risk management expertise and learning to our major projects, integrating multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated and value‑adding controls solutions for our clients.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Arcadis’ digital controls solutions, bringing in our talented teams in data science and data analytics to provide transformative and efficient digital controls solutions.
  • Be an active member within Arcadis’ Global Project & Programme Controls community, supporting the growth and development of yourself, our people, and those within our clients, partners and wider industry bodies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Be a planning and controls professional who has worked in roles across Controls, Planning and Risk, across a variety of projects within the infrastructure, transportation and/or buildings sectors.
  • Have experience and qualifications across project controls, planning (schedule management), risk management, digital solutions and cost engineering. A solid understanding across these areas and a passion for learning, growth and agility to flex solutions is required.
  • Experience working across the supply chain, including perspectives from client‑side, consultant, contractor and designers is a strong advantage.
  • Experience spanning all stages of the project/programme life cycle, from mobilisation, set‑up, delivery, handover and benefits realisation across a variety of projects.
  • Hold a degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Hold qualifications aligned to Project Controls, Planning and/or Risk Management such as Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), APM’s Planning and Controls Certifications, Oracle P6 Certifications and Risk Management Certification.
