Overview

Join to apply for the Senior Engineering Geologist role at VINCI.

We are looking for candidates that can manage day-to-day operational site control of contracts of varying sizes within the UK, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, cost control, performance to programme and customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts to ensure safety, quality, productivity, cost control and performance to programme; maintain good client relations and ensure client requirements are met to maximise opportunity for repeat business.
  • Maintain commercial awareness to protect the Company from financial exposure and to achieve full margins from operational activities.
  • Lead contracts to ensure effective and safety-conscious workforce, while delivering on budget and client expectations.
Qualifications
  • Significant experience within the geotechnical industry, with a solid understanding of ground conditions, drilling and site investigation works.
  • Good understanding of geotechnical processes and contract management; excellent written English and good letter-writing abilities.
  • Strong customer-service focus and professional approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and regional teams.
  • Full UK Driving License.

Our experience over 60 years of business allows us to undertake both land and nearshore marine investigations, works in secure or high risk environments, and a wide range of difficult and restricted access projects.

Supporting our Ground Investigation business, we maintain one of the country’s largest single site Geotechnical Laboratories, UKAS accredited for over 40 test disciplines, which undertakes testing for internal and external projects. The laboratory also maintains our In-Situ testing capability, including CBR and Plate Bearing tests.
