Job summary

A leading global organisation is looking for two Senior Data Engineers for an initial 6-month contract based in London. This is a contract role inside IR35 offering £600 per day. The successful candidates will work on a greenfield data project, designing and developing data pipelines using key technologies like Snowflake and DBT. The role demands strong SQL skills and insurance experience, with a commitment to hybrid working - 2 days a week onsite. Immediate start required.

Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on data engineering experience.
  • Proven experience with Snowflake and DBT (Cloud or Core).
  • Solid understanding of data modelling, curation, and transformation best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).
  • Ability to work across end-to-end data engineering workflows.
  • Insurance experience is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake, DBT, and SQL.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Build and enhance transformation layers within a new enterprise data warehouse.
  • Work closely with ingestion and visualisation teams to ensure smooth, accurate data flow.
  • Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and overall quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across the wider business.
