A public local authority in Stevenage is seeking a Senior Corporate GIS Analyst to manage the GIS infrastructure and support decision-making through spatial analysis. This role requires strong expertise in GIS software, particularly Arc Pro and ArcGIS Online. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams to enhance data quality and user experience, making an impactful contribution to local services. The position offers a hybrid work model and a salary ranging from £38,220 to £41,771 per annum.

This role is within the Corporate Centre GIS Team which is a small team of GIS analysts who form part of the wider Community and Geospatial Intelligence team. The team is responsible for the management of the corporate GIS infrastructure which is used by staff, partners and the public. The role will be supporting a range of workstreams across the authority, whether that be providing location based spatial analysis in support of the council’s service planning, or by managing Hertfordshire County Council’s Enterprise ESRI suite, including application support (desktop and web), web services, and spatial datasets. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the team to support the development and management of Hertfordshire’s enterprise deployment of the ESRI suite of products. The post holder will provide GIS expertise, analysis and technical support for web and desktop to the user base. You will also work alongside other analysts on a variety of projects across the council, utilising a variety of different data types from often disparate sources to analyse and visualise information, making it accessible and presenting findings in a logical and attractive way.
