Primary function of this role
- Execute the daily production plan to assemble boxes from component form, pack and dispatch
Specific responsibilities
- Supervise and conduct assembly
- Maintain high standards of quality
- Report on material stock levels
- Handle and stock incoming materials
- Periodically liaise with visiting customers – assisting with product demonstrations and measurements for custom products
- Production & Assembly Occupations: 3 years (required)
- A responsible self-starter able to prioritise and progress work activities
- Problem-solver – able to troubleshoot issues with production equipment and materials
- Identify opportunities for improvement in both product and the assembly process
- Understanding of expectations of high-end customers
- Responsibility to speak up when mistakes have been made
- Work harmoniously with colleagues
- Moderate to high levels of computer literacy
Education and experience requirements
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
- Understanding of materials and their properties
- Previous experience in semi-skilled or skilled assembly
- IT familiarity for operating computers and ancillary hardware
Working arrangements
- Full-time, in-person
- Ability to work in-person in Okehampton, Devon - reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
- Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom
- Normally 8am-4pm with some flexibility
- Compensated at between +0% and +40% of Real Living Wage (https://www.livingwage.org.uk/)
