Job description
Belfast (Cathedral Quarter), Northern Ireland Projects across Ireland and the UK

Rejen Architects is seeking a Senior Architect / Associate-Designate to take on a key studio leadership role within a growing, design-focused practice. This is an opportunity to lead complex projects, manage teams, and work closely with the Director to help shape the future growth of the studio.

Rejen Architects is a growing, design-led practice specialising in heritage, hospitality and regeneration, with projects across Ireland and the UK. We are seeking a Senior Architect / Associate-Designate to take on a central leadership role within the studio.

This position is suited to an experienced architect ready to step into an Associate-level trajectory, acting as a trusted right-hand to the Director. You will lead the delivery of complex, high-quality projects from early concept through planning and site delivery, while managing and mentoring architects and assistants within the studio.

Responsibilities include acting as project lead on key commissions, coordinating consultant teams, representing the practice at client meetings and site inspections, and helping to shape design quality, technical standards, and studio processes. You will also contribute to the measured growth of the practice, supporting business development, reputation building, and thought‑leadership activity.

The role is studio-based in Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, with hybrid and flexible working possible. Progression toward an Associate position is envisaged following a minimum 12-month period in role, subject to performance and mutual fit.

Requirements include:

  • ARB / RIBA or RIAI registration
  • Minimum 5 years post-Part 3 experience (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience leading projects through planning and delivery
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland and the UK

If you’re excited by the chance to make your mark in a growing, purpose-driven practice, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV, portfolio and cover letter to studio@rejenarchitects.com

Early applications encouraged. The role will close once filled.

£40,000–£45,000 per annum (DOE), plus performance-related bonus. Relocation allowance available.
