Role Description

This full-time, on-site role is based in Shifnal. As a Senior Accountant, you will oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, manage audits, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities also include leading and mentoring junior staff, analyzing financial data, providing strategic financial advice, handling tax planning and preparation for clients, and working collaboratively with other team members to deliver exceptional client service tailored to a wide range of industries and business sizes.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Financial Accounting, Tax Preparation, and Financial Reporting practices
• Strong skills in Auditing, Budgeting, and Financial Analysis
• Expertise in Tax Consultancy, including R&D Tax Credits, VAT Consultancy, and Tax Investigation support
• Experience in Payroll Management, Bookkeeping, and Wealth Management Services
• Ability to guide and mentor junior team members with strong leadership skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and robust knowledge of financial regulations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar qualification preferred
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role, especially in accountancy services, is an advantage
