Lufton College is a 52‑week residential specialist college that provides quality care and education for young people aged 16‑25 who have a diagnosis of autism or who fall on the autistic continuum. Our students often have complex needs, learning difficulties and behaviours of concern. The curriculum is designed to prepare our students for adulthood, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to achieve their personal best. Learning takes place in a variety of settings, including students’ homes, vocational placements and within the college. Outside the classroom, students participate in activities such as animal therapy, nature‑based learning and other outdoor experiences.
The college continues to improve its provision, focusing on the quality of education, the environment and the collaboration between care, education and our clinical team.
Lufton College is situated on the outskirts of Yeovil, spanning three sites across 40 acres of forest, small farm areas and ample outdoor spaces.
