ROLE:Secondary Teacher - Head of KS3
SCHOOL:Wickersley School and Sports College
SALARY:MPS/UPS + TLR 2C
CONTRACT:Permanent
HOURS: Full Time
Are you an inspiring classroom practitioner with a passion for pastoral care? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher and Head of KS3 to champion a Key Stage 3 cohort, shaping their school experience, driving high standards of behaviour, and ensuring that every student has the support they need to thrive during these formative years.
At Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT), we are fueled by a single commitment: 'We never knowingly do less for other people’s children than we would for our own.' As a thriving network of schools across South Yorkshire, we combine high expectations with embedded inclusivity. We do not work in silos; instead, we rely on deep collaboration and school-to-school support to ensure every student develops socially, emotionally, and academically to achieve the highest standards.
As a Teaching Head of KS3, you will hold a dual role: delivering excellent lessons in your subject specialism while leading the pastoral direction for a specific year group. You will be the face of the year group for students, parents, and staff—establishing a strong culture of attendance, punctuality, and positive behaviour from the outset. This is a high-impact role where you will identify barriers to learning and intervene early, ensuring that students navigate the transition through Key Stage 3 successfully and build the resilience needed for future success.
The successful candidate must hold their QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have experience working with KS3 students.
