About the role

This role sits in our Beacon team. Beacon is a SaaS product that is rapidly expanding across the pharmaceutical industry. Our intelligence team is pivotal in keeping Beacon competitive. This role is a chance to join this awesome team and work with one of our fastest growing markets!

Research Associates play a critical support role in the Beacon Research Operations team, undertaking quality control of newly created or updated drug and clinical trial records, and providing feedback to relevant individuals; overseeing the creation of content such as weekly newsletters; responding to queries, and assuming ownership of Beacon modules when Researchers are absent from the team.

Responsibilities
  • Build a robust understanding of the policies and standard operating procedures regarding data capture and curation for Beacon, including relevant module‑specific ones.
  • Assist the Chinese Language Team with triaging and curation of content in Mandarin and support the wider Beacon Research Operations Team with translation tasks.
  • Undertake both prospective and retrospective quality checking as required to ensure Beacon content achieves the highest possible levels of accuracy.
  • Provide feedback, training and support to those performing the data capture processes as required.
  • Collaborate with researchers and account managers to support sales opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with the scientific and commercial developments in the field.
  • Assist with the delivery of newsletters, digests and conference reports as required, meeting agreed timelines.
  • Assist with relevant sales and customer queries as required, within agreed timelines.
  • Actively seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency within the team.
About you

  • A bachelor’s degree in a life‑science subject
  • Basic understanding of end‑to‑end drug development would be helpful but is not essential.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, a strong team player.
  • Proactive and inquisitive, willing to challenge the status quo and uncover new ways of doing things.
  • Ability to work well under periods of pressure, being resilient and self‑aware.
  • Persistent and detail oriented, able to maintain focus when undertaking quality control processes.
