Registered Care Home Manager

Location: Maryport, Cumbria
Salary: £60,000– £65,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Overall day-to-day management of the care home
  • Maintaining CQC compliance and achieving positive inspection outcomes
  • Leading, developing, and motivating a multidisciplinary staff team
  • Ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and person-centred support
  • Managing budgets, occupancy levels, and financial performance
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and commissioners
  • Implementing policies, procedures, and quality assurance systems
Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a care setting
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage staffing, rotas, audits, and compliance effectively
Desirable
  • Experience managing a dementia/nursing service
  • Proven track record of good or outstanding CQC ratings
  • Strong business and occupancy management skills
