London, UK – 06 October 2025 SMS is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean West as Chief Financial Officer, bringing more than two decades of senior financial leadership across the infrastructure, real estate, and investment sectors.

Sean joins SMS following a distinguished career that has incorporated corporate finance, organisational transformation, and strategic financial management. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Arqiva, where he led the company’s strategy, finance, and procurement functions and oversaw a period of organisational transformation, the group’s disposal of its mobile towers business, and the sale of the majority ownership of the group. Prior to Arqiva, Sean held senior financial roles at a number of organisations, including ICG and Landsec. He has also served for nearly a decade as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee at the Sovereign Network Group, contributing to governance and financial oversight at Board level.

Sean’s appointment follows the recent acquisition of SMS by global investment firm KKR, alongside the subsequent combination of SMS with Horizon Energy Infrastructure UK, Horizon Energy Infrastructure DE, Horizon Water Infrastructure, Smart Meter Assets, and related entities. As CFO, Sean will play a key role in the next phase of strategic delivery and operational integration across the group.
