Duties / Responsibilities
- Processing and regular follow-up as required of Supplier Corrective Action Reports to ensure timely return and notification of corrective action from suppliers in regards to received goods & services rejected, to assist with driving improvement through the supply chain.
- Identifying, documenting and expediting resolution of Nonconformities and customer complaints to ensure data is captured for analysis and any necessary corrective actions can be implemented. Facilitating Root Cause Analysis as appropriate.
- To assist the QA Manager with second level ASME BPVC Section II compliance verification of goods received and liaise with stakeholders and suppliers as necessary.
- To assist the QA Manager with data collection and trend analysis of finished goods punch list items.
- To assist internal auditing and weekly QHSE tours as requested by the QHSE Manager.
- To support the Procurement department with new vendor appraisals and ongoing monitoring of approved vendor performance.
- General administrative support to the QHSE department; updates of internal procedures and instructions etc. as guided by the QHSE Manager.
- Produce key project QHSE documentation using company templates including, but not limited to: ITPs, Quality Plan and Ex component certification dossiers.
- To assist the QA & QC Managers with the maintenance of the equipment calibration system.
- To assist the Welding Coordinator with the routine updating of the welding prolongation records using production quality records.
- To assist the QA Manager with the Monitoring and maintenance of the external standards library and register, ensuring key standards are procured and up-to-date.
- Provide advice to peer group on QHSE related matters and ensure agreed QHSE tasks and objectives are completed.
- Liaising with Engineers, Production Supervisors and production staff as appropriate to discuss and resolve any issues arising regarding heater bundles, control panels and pressure vessels.
- To support and aid the training of any trainee/new staff as required.
Skills and Experience Required
- knowledge / experience of the inspection of electrical / mechanical products within an Oil and Gas/ Petro-chemical / Pharmaceutical environment,
- an ability to read engineering drawings, and
- an understanding / knowledge of ISO 9001, ATEX / IECEx, ASME & PED standards.
Key Interfaces
- Technical Director: To carry out regular 1 to1‘s to assess current workloads, issues, project status. To assist in the allocation of resource to suit project changing requirements.
- QA, QC & QHSE Managers: To attend meetings as requested to do so and to assist as directed.
- Project Managers: Liaise with Project Managers relating to project QHSE issues.
- Engineers: Liaise with Engineering staff relating to issues arising from inspections and testing.
- Production: Resolving any issues or technical queries to ensure production assembly is smooth and unhindered. Communicating with Design Office staff to get any issues resolved in a timely manner.
- Panel Bay: Liaising with Design Office staff and help aid resolving any issues or technical queries during panel inspections and checks.
- Dispatch: Communicating with despatch staff so to avoid delayed release of heaters and panels.
- QHSE: To provide training, guidance and assistance in allocation of resources as requested by Management.
- Suppliers: Being the single point of contact within the Quality department for suppliers regarding ASME ensuring all correspondence and communication maintains a professional level. Developing a supplier EXHEAT relationship.
The Employee shall devote the whole of his/her time, attention and skill to his/her duties hereunder and in addition such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required of him/her for the proper and efficient running of the Employer’s business.
