Provide QA/QC support to the client Decommissioning Project Team to ensure the delivery of continuous improvement of the quality management system. Responsible for the control of all matters relating to the implementation of quality management processes and procedures to the benefit of the successful delivery of the project. Engage with the client group, operations, EPCC and wells and others to ensure the consistent, efficient and effective delivery of group/business/project level quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project HSEQ Lead to define, develop, maintain and execute the project quality plan, ensure legislative compliance and that related initiatives and processes are communicated and delivered in a collaborative manner
- Support Project, Group, Operations, EPCC and Wells with the provision of practical and professional Quality Management guidance leading efforts to develop a continuous improvement culture
- Work closely with the project leadership team and lead on a range of Quality improvement projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues and lead response to client Non-Conformance Reports.
- Support the assurance of quality in engineering deliverables, advising procurement, engineering, construction and operations.
- Advise on QA and QC requirements for purchased equipment and approve the associated engineering documentation e.g. criticality assessments and SDRLs.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Company Quality Policy and Quality procedures to remain legally compliant and in line with guidance and industry best practice
- Monitor project wide compliance and ensure that the Quality policy, plan, procedures and standards, ensuring they are communicated and understood, and monitor their effectiveness in supporting the project and business objectives.
- Support the development and delivery of the project audit schedule – including internal and vendor audits. Monitor the effectiveness of the audit programme, identify good practice and recommend opportunities for improvement
- Take the lead and coordinate vendor QC inspection and release activities.
- Support the project and business with maintaining and improving it’s ISO accreditation and be the project point of contact for ISO Surveillance activities.
- Support the project and business and be point of contact for the coordination of any audits undertaken by clients as well as being responsible for client-requested Quality deliverables.
- Deliver and support with HSEQ incident reporting and investigation. Ensure all incidents/events are adequately investigated, make recommendations, identify actions and make recommendations to prevent recurrence
- In alignment with deliverables identified in the Asset Master Control Schedule identify key activities and plan for and deliver Lessons Learned sessions, and maintain the project lessons learned register
- Support the development, delivery and maintenance of the Project Risk Register
- Provide Quality knowledge and expertise to assist tenders, due diligence, business development and acquisition activities.
- Build strong professional working across all levels of the organisation and with client Quality Focal Points.
- Identify opportunities within the project for a programme of Quality training and awareness campaigns.
- Ensure that all work is conducted safely and in compliance with Health, Safety Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.

Competence Requirements
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Formal qualification at a minimum of HND but preferably a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. engineering, science, quality management) or relevant industry experience is essential
- Knowledge of relevant standards, auditing competence is essential
- Knowledge of UK HSE regulatory framework. Knowledge of specific legislation applicable to Duty Holder activities in the UKCS energy sector would be preferable but not essential
- Valid OGUK Medical, MIST and BOSIET is desirable

- Proven experience of working in a leadership role within the Energy Industry is essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is essential
- Ability to lead, mentor and coach others is essential
- Ability and flexibility to work at all levels including at a hands-on level.
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships is essential
- Demonstratable skills in adapting to change and leading change processes and promoting behaviours that meet the organisation’s aims and values is essential
