Role Description
Permanent night‑shift role working 4 on / 4 off 18:00 - 06:00.

Job Purpose
Reporting to the site QA Manager, this role oversees day‑to‑day management and coordination of the shift‑based QA (LS only), Lab tech (WS only) and raw material teams. It provides support, guidance and technical expertise to keep the site focused on all aspects of food safety and quality assurance, role‑modeling and encouraging a quality culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver completion of internal audits on schedule.
  • Ensure incubations, drain weights and seam checks are completed per procedures.
  • Administer all hold and rework notifications for the site.
  • Collect and/or order samples for hold investigations.
  • Complete site microbiological testing programmes.
  • Ensure raw material testing is completed in a timely manner.
  • Collect and submit samples for nutritional testing to meet customer COPs.
  • Raise necessary purchase orders for the department.
  • Maintain the fill weight / net weight database.
  • Authorize first‑stage concessions for deviations.
  • Approve new labels and maintain label reference documents.
  • Keep QA SOPs and task assessments up‑to‑date.
  • Deliver QC and QA related training on site.
  • Manage shift QA, lab tech and RM technicians: EDRs, Logitime, one‑to‑ones, rotas, annualised hours.
  • Maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards.
