Role Description

The Project Director – Data Centres (Nordics) will lead the delivery of a large hyperscale data‑centre construction project. The successful candidate may be based in the country or travel internationally to the Nordics (11/3 rotation).

Role Accountabilities

Pre‑construction

• Work with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget.
• Support contractor pre‑qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations.
• Support contract negotiations.
• Assist the client in identifying, scoping, buying‑out and scheduling all owner‑direct vendors and consultants.

Construction

• Manage the general contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground.
• Coordinate value‑engineering efforts during construction.
• Work with the client’s commercial and PCG team to develop budget management and tracking.
• Liaise with the client’s schedule management team to provide schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis.

Close out / Fit‑up

• Initiate close‑out processes before project completion, typically two to three months in advance.
• Establish close‑out documentation requirements with the client’s document controller. Collect and track receipt of all close‑out documents until completion, including warranties, as‑builds and O&M manuals.
• Assist with city and/or authority final inspections and occupancy process.
• Assist the client in scheduling, coordination and management of all owner‑direct vendors and consultants.

Qualifications & Experience

• In‑depth understanding of large‑scale technical projects and construction techniques.
• Ability to manage technical disciplines.
• Experience on data‑centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably hyperscale builds.
• Ability to coordinate work of other discipline‑specific owner representatives to achieve client objectives.
• Willingness to commit to significant international travel.
