Community Services - Canterbury Centre | Lifestyle / Activities Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic Program Assistantto join our dedicated Community Centre team inCanterbury.

In this rewarding, hands-on role, you will support the deliveryof engaging, inclusive programs that enhance wellbeing, independence, and social connection for older adults. Workingclosely with Program Supervisors, volunteers, and communitypartners, you’ll play a vital role in creating welcomingenvironments where people feel valued and supported.

About the Role

As a Program Assistant, you will:

  • Support and deliver creative, engaging programs andactivities that promote wellbeing and connection
  • Create a warm, inclusive, and respectful environment whereparticipants feel safe, heard, and valued
  • Assist clients with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity, and choice
  • Build positive relationships with clients, carers, volunteers, and community partners
  • Support program coordination, including administration and client transport assistance
Hours of Work:
  • Monday to Friday, 9am – 4pm
