We are looking for an experienced and proactive Press Officer to join our External Communications team. This role is for someone who enjoys building strong media relationships, telling impactful stories, and shaping conversations around workplace inclusion.

What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in a press office or PR/media relations role (essential).
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Confidence in building journalist relationships and pitching stories.
  • Highly desirable Existing contacts in HR, business, DEI, or employment-related media.
  • Passionate about neurodiversity and inclusion.
What will you be doing?
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists
  • Maintain and regularly update NiB’s media database.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute press releases and media statements.
  • Keep NiB’s Media Pack updated.
  • Coordinate media activity for major NiB initiatives
  • Develop and deliver regular media briefings for journalists
  • Support NiB spokespeople
  • Track and report on media coverage and press engagement
