We are the national gas network, providing secure energy to power Britain, achieve net zero, and maintain our industrial competitiveness.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone to help us plan and manage projects across the Scotland & North region. In this role, you’ll make sure our plans support business goals, meet regulations, and deliver safely and efficiently.

  • Take ownership of portfolio planning, keeping our investment records accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with planners and sponsors to make sure projects run smoothly and resources are used wisely.
  • Lead on creating and improving plans that help us deliver safe and reliable gas services.
  • Use data to track progress, report on performance, and suggest improvements.
  • Support compliance and governance by making processes clear and easy to follow.
What You'll be doing

In this role, you’ll help us plan and deliver projects that make a real difference. Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Manage our project portfolio – keep plans up to date and make sure we have the right mix of investments for now and the future.

  • Use resources wisely – help optimise how work is delivered and ensure teams have what they need.
  • Collaborate with others – work closely with project managers, sponsors, and engineers to schedule work and overcome challenges.
  • Keep projects on track – make sure plans are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Spot connections – identify and manage dependencies so everything works together smoothly.
  • Drive improvements – look for better ways to manage investments, costs, and outages, and support future changes.
  • Share progress – produce clear reports and updates so everyone knows how we’re doing.
  • Monitor performance – track outage performance and work with the System Operator to stay on top of changes.
