We are looking for a kind, patient, and reliable Personal Assistant (PA) to support our 15-year-old son, David, who is energetic, enthusiastic, and full of curiosity about the world around him.

David loves football, going to the library, exploring museums, reading comics, and chatting about all things geography. He enjoys staying active and likes completing activities with a sense of purpose. Spending time with someone who shares or encourages his interests makes a real difference.

This role is about supporting David to access activities outside the family home – from football sessions and museum visits to library trips and other community-based outings.

  • Genuine interest in building a connection with David
  • Awareness or experience of autism
  • A good communicator who takes the time to understand individual needs
  • Reliability and a flexible attitude
  • Willingness to get to know David’s unique communication style
  • Ability to support outdoor and community activities

Duties include:

  • Supporting David to attend activities he enjoys
  • Encouraging social interaction and independence
  • Providing emotional support when needed
  • Ensuring outings are safe, enjoyable, and suited to David’s interests

This is a rewarding role where you’ll be making a meaningful difference in a young person’s life by helping him access the wider world in a way that works for him.

If you are someone with a kind heart, a love of football or museums, and an interest in helping young people thrive – we’d love to hear from you.

This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
