Performance Marketing Specialist – Brighton, UK
Location: Brighton, UK (Full-time, office-based)
Reporting to: Head of Digital Marketing
About the Role
Are you a hands‑on PPC specialist looking to deepen your expertise and see the direct impact of your work? We’re looking for a Performance Marketing Specialist to join our fast‑paced, collaborative team in central Brighton. This isn’t a typical specialist role – you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management and execution of our paid search campaigns, working directly alongside our Head of Digital, who has a deep background in PPC.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience to master the operational side of performance marketing, learn advanced strategy from a seasoned expert, and grow into a more senior role within a supportive in‑house environment.
Core Responsibilities (Paid Search Operations)
- Day‑to‑Day Campaign Management: Manage the daily execution of our PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads, including building new campaigns, structuring ad groups, conducting keyword research, and writing compelling ad copy.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimisation: Monitor daily performance, budget pacing, and core KPIs, and proactively adjust bidding strategies, targeting, and ad creative to meet our targets.
- Testing & Experimentation: Implement and analyse A/B tests on ads and landing pages to drive incremental performance gains and campaign efficiencies.
- Reporting & Analysis: Analyse campaign data and contribute key findings and insights for weekly and monthly performance reports, helping the team understand what’s working and why.
- Work with Data: Collaborate with our Data Analyst to ensure campaign tracking is accurate and to connect paid media data with wider business analytics.
- Support SEO Strategy: Use paid search insights to contribute ideas for keyword targeting and content opportunities that support the broader SEO strategy.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven PPC Experience: 1+ years managing Google Ads campaigns as a primary responsibility; agency experience is a strong plus.
- Data‑Driven & Analytical: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and identify performance trends.
- Proactive & Detail‑Oriented: Meticulous eye for detail and initiative in managing day‑to‑day operations of complex accounts.
- Natural Collaborator: Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a supportive, office‑based team environment.
- Eager to Learn & Grow: Motivated to develop skills and progress from a tactical expert into a strategic marketer.
- Desirable: Experience with Paid Social campaigns (Meta, LinkedIn Ads) and a relevant degree.
