Do you want to return to work, within the school day to earn some extra cash? We have a vacancy for a Midday Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for a Midday Assistant to start work as soon as possible, for five days a week from 12.00 to 1.15 p.m., during the term time only.

This is a fixed term contract from February 2026 - July 2026.

What we’re looking for (attributes)
  • Flexibility – a 'can do' approach with an ability to communicate with children in a firm but fair manner
  • An ability to respond to all pupils and staff
  • A willingness to involve yourself with the children, and instigate group games
  • First Aid – not essential as we can arrange this

The role of the Midday Assistant is to help with the food, promote a good standard of behaviour, supervise the children when playing outside, or in classrooms on wet days.

The Midday Assistant should act as a responsible caring adult with the health, safety, and welfare of the children always in mind; show conduct which commands respect; and see that the children behave at all times sensibly and quietly.
