Are you an experienced MEP Digital Engineering professional who enjoys managing teams, driving process excellence, and shaping how projects are delivered through BIM and DfMA?

Then our in‑house MEP engineering business, Crown House Technologies (CHt) — part of the Laing O'Rourke group — is the place for you.

We're looking for a Lead MEP Digital Engineer to join our MEICA Digital Design Centre, where you'll oversee a talented team of digital engineers delivering fully coordinated models across sectors including nuclear power, life sciences, data centres, and healthcare.

TheOpportunity

This is a leadership position within CHt's digital engineering function. You will:

  • Lead a team of digital engineers and BIM coordinators in the production and coordination of fully engineered MEP models.
  • Oversee digital delivery processes across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company BIM standards, DfMA principles, and ISO 19650.
  • Manage consultant and stakeholder coordination, driving integration between design, offsite manufacturing, and construction teams.
  • Own and maintain BEPs, MIDPs, and TIDPs, ensuring consistent digital outputs across all project stages.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement, helping develop CHt's digital delivery strategy, tools, and workflows.
  • Report progress, risks, and opportunities to project leadership and senior engineering management.
What You'll Bring
  • Significant contractor-side experience in MEP digital design, BIM coordination, and DfMA delivery.
  • Proven experience leading digital teams and managing BIM processes on large or complex engineering projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 / ACC, and CDE management.
  • Excellent understanding of design for manufacture and assembly (DfMA) and digital construction principles.
  • A relevant degree or technical qualification in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and develop others.
