An advanced healthcare provider in London is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to support daily operations in the Microbiology laboratory. The successful candidate will prepare specimens, maintain equipment, and assist with routine diagnostic analytical work. Full-time hours are 37.5 per week, with a salary of up to £27,008 per annum based on experience. Position: Medical Laboratory Assistant
Location: 1 Mabledon Place, WC1H 9AX, London
Contract / Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week (5 pm–9 pm Monday‑Friday, 4‑hour shift 1:4 Saturdays; Saturday hours returned as time in lieu)
Salary Range: Up to £27,008 per annum, DOE
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Infection Sciences department, you will support the daily operations of the Microbiology laboratory section. Your duties will include performing routine diagnostic analytical work, booking and receiving specimens, preparing samples according to protocols, maintaining equipment, managing reagent and stock inventories, and liaising with senior scientists, clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
