Job summary

A leading Maintenance Service Provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to analyze project costs and prepare detailed estimates. The ideal candidate will have experience in Building Services Maintenance and excellent analytical skills. This role involves working collaboratively with project managers and engineers to ensure accurate project costing and support bid reviews. Competitive salary of £70k with room for negotiation based on experience.

Base pay range: £70k – £70k (depending on skills and experience – contact recruiter for details.)

Trevett Services is partnering with a leading Maintenance Service Provider to fill the key role of Mechanical Estimator.

Key Duties
  • Analyse project drawings and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs & cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Evaluate potential risks and opportunities in project estimates.
  • Present estimates to management and participate in bid reviews.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the project and provide cost control support.
About You
  • Experience as a Mechanical Estimator (Building Services Maintenance & Installation) with a Service Provider or Contractor.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
