We enable new opportunities for our customers through digitalisation.# **Mechanical Engineer – Ketton****Competitive Salary**## **Main Responsibilities*** Work to and support the continuous improvement of agreed Engineering Standards.* Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in compliance with all relevant Safety standards and procedures across the Engineering team (Supervisors, Team Leaders, Mechanical Craftsmen, Contractors and Apprentices).* Ensure all safety measures are fully implemented before any task begins.## ## **Maintenance Systems & Reliability Engineering*** Lead the implementation and ongoing support of a **Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)** system.* Identify, develop, and implement methods to improve equipment reliability, availability and maintainability.* Contribute to the preparation of the **annual maintenance budget**, ensuring alignment with mechanical priorities on site.* Support the creation, development, and delivery of **investment plans**.* Improve and optimise the **predictive and preventive maintenance programme** within **SAP-PM**.* Conduct technical evaluations of offers for maintenance services, strategic spare parts, and mechanical projects/investments.* Implement internal or external technical recommendations to improve equipment performance.* Carry out design reviews to assess **MTBF** (Mean Time Between Failures) and equipment maintainability.* Prepare and update **Preventive Maintenance (PM) checklists** for maintenance personnel and process operatives.* Research and introduce new maintenance techniques, technologies, and methods to enhance equipment reliability and reduce lifecycle costs.* Lead **FMEA** (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) activities in SAP.* Analyse predictive measurement data and drive decisions in collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and managers.* Identify equipment “**bad actors**” using SAP-PM and propose corrective actions, improvements, or capital investments to eliminate recurring issues.* Develop and improve **repair procedures**, ensuring best practice is maintained.## **Education/Qualification*** Batchelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification* Nebosh CertificateAt Heidelberg Materials, we don’t just offer jobs—we build careers.
