A leading technology firm in the UK is searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and implementation of electric propulsion systems. The role involves providing detailed input to ensure design meets requirements and includes extensive use of SolidWorks CAD. Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering with previous proven experience in a design and development environment.
  • Experienced user of SolidWorks CAD software with the ability to create design concepts and fully dimensioned drawings.
  • The ability to undertake and interpret mechanical FEA studies and propose solutions to design issues.

The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Evolito’s electric motor/battery range on key customer projects.*Key responsibilities will include:*Providing detailed input to the team to ensure the overall design meets requirements for functionality and manufacture *Skills and experience required:*Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering with previous proven experience in a design and development environment Experienced user of SolidWorks CAD software package with the ability to create design concepts and fully dimensioned drawings working to BS8888 with best practice geometric tolerances and key characteristics The ability to undertake and interpret mechanical FEA studies and propose solutions/improvements to design issuesExperience with drawing control systems such as PDM A strong mechanical or electrical engineering background, but more importantly, be able to apply knowledge to real-world situationsConfident with customers and suppliers, able to detail requirements and understand issues A flexible approach to work with the desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills We’re driven by a shared passion for engineering excellence and sustainable mobility.
