Manufacturing Supervisor

Asthon A/S is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to work at its leading facility in Telford.

Benefits

• Competitive annual salary of up to £39,000 (or £18.75 per hour) depending on experience
• Day‑based role: 7:45 am – 5:00 pm with a 12:45 pm finish on Fridays, or 8:45 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of 5–6 Mechanical/Electrical Fitters
• Allocate workload to staff and manage daily team meetings
• Report project progress to the Manufacturing Manager regularly
• Liaise with other departments (e.g., Purchasing) to ensure sufficient materials for builds
• Plan workload to achieve production targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor staff and participate in disciplinary procedures when necessary
• Travel to customers worldwide to oversee installations (typically 2–3 times a year for up to 2 weeks)
• Hands‑on involvement in building and installing projects, using hand and power tools

Requirements

• Mechanical or Electrical experience in a supervisory capacity (essential)
• Qualified either electrically or mechanically (essential)
• Hands‑on attitude – ability to work with the team on builds
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Ability to travel and oversee projects (essential)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
