At Quest Global, we are hiring Manufacturing Engineers for one of our customers at Redditch, which is a 12 months contract with Outside IR35 and 100% onsite.
Objectives
- Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
- Integrate & coordinate with facilities to ensure program timelines are achieved
- Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
- Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
- Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity
Job Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level knowledge in machining technologies, including CNC programming, tooling, and material selection.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to define machining strategies and optimize processes.
- Review and approve technical documentation, work instructions, and training materials related to machining.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for machining-related issues.
- Support the development and implementation of new machining technologies and process improvements.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill team members in advanced machining techniques.
- Validate machining processes through testing, prototyping, and user-acceptance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a technical advisor during audits, customer reviews, and project planning.
Skills And Experience
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a manufacturing engineering function
- Experience of working within a precision engineering manufacturing environment
- Excellent planning, organisational, analytical, communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive and effective leadership and management skills
- Ability to encourage and facilitate change through working knowledge and application of lean tools and techniques within a lean manufacturing environment
Work Experience
- Good knowledge on various component manufacturing processes
- Well versed with Engineering & manufacturing drawings
- Knowledge of NDT and special process techniques
- Good knowledge on Concessions, containment procedures and traceability techniques
- Knowledge of aerospace QMS/auto quality requirements (AS9100, OSHAS, TS 16949, various ISO)
- Understanding of product design and introduction
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA and Control plans
- Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering core processes (e.g. process planning, inspection planning, tooling, creation of operator instructions)
- Understanding of Measurement processes, Process capability as determined by statistical process control
