A leading manufacturing firm in England is seeking a part-qualified Management Accountant to join its Finance team. This full-time position offers the chance to support the Finance Director with month-end reporting and accounting activities. Salary: c. £35,000 depending on experience
Location: Andover
Responsibilities

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a part qualified Management Accountant to join the Finance team on a full-time basis. As well as the chance to join an industry leading manufacturing business during a period of exciting growth, you would have the opportunity to continue your studies with us. The Management Accountant provides support to the Finance Director through accurate and insightful month end reporting, day to day accounting activities and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Month end accounts production, including bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register
  • Produce the Closed Job Report for review with the Team
  • Prepare, produce and review monthly revenue recognition report.
  • Prepare cost centre reports for the Management Team and liaise with them for ad hoc queries.
  • Process the weekly payment run
  • Work with the finance assistant and ensure accurate input of purchase and sales invoices
  • Assist with the year end audit
  • Ad hoc analysis projects and interrogation of data
Skills and Experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Engaging – the role will interact with most people in the business including the management team.
  • Agile and Proactive – we take pride in our agility and will often aim to change things quickly when we identify a change is required.
  • Flexible – the business is small and there will be times when we all need to get more involved with activities outside our remit
  • Computer literate / ability and desire to learn – it is highly unlikely that the person will have used Priority in the past so must be able and willing to use a new ERP
  • Diligence – Attention to detail is essential within this role
  • Autonomous – the hybrid working model will mean there are times when the team are working remotely or on different hours, being able to understand the outputs required and execute autonomously is necessary
  • Demonstrates the values: energetic, agile, collaborative and ethical
