Maintenance Assistant – Aspris
Join to apply for the Maintenance Assistant role at Aspris – we’re looking for a passionate and skilled handyperson with a keen interest in maintenance, DIY and facilities upkeep.
You’ll be responsible for addressing day‑to‑day reactive maintenance issues across the school site and grounds, raising jobs, arranging maintenance of equipment and vehicles, liaising with contractors on and off‑site and responding to ad‑hoc requests from management. The role includes both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities.

About The School
Fromefield Manor School is a new SEN school (opened September 2024) located in central Frome, Somerset and is a special school for up to 30 pupils, aged 11‑19 who have a diagnosis of autism with associated complex needs. We provide a communication approach and bespoke timetables to ensure our students receive the care, attention, time and dedication to enable them to access education and reach their individual goals.

Experience and skills (ideally):
All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service/Disclosure Scotland and provide at least two references covering the last 3 years.
