Job description

Join our team as a Machine Operator and play an essential role in keeping our manufacturing process running smoothly.

In our factory in Merthyr Tydfil, we produce and pack up to 50 tons of wafer, marshmallow bars, toffees and eclairs per day on a large variety of production and packaging lines and machines. This hands‑on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with machinery, maintaining high quality standards, and being part of a supportive, team‑driven environment. You’ll operate and monitor production equipment, support changeovers and cleaning, and help ensure our products meet strict safety and quality requirements.

Your Responsibilities As a Machine Operator
  • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain product quality.
  • Carry out routine checks, including safety, quality, and CCP requirements.
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet company and legal standards.
  • Support product changeovers, cleaning, and equipment preparation.
  • Report machine faults, breakdowns, or quality issues promptly.
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Follow Health & Safety, hygiene, and “clean‑as‑you‑go” standards at all times.
  • Participate in training and support new staff when required.
