Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Locum Consultant Respiratory Physician specializing in lung cancer for a 12-month fixed-term position. This role involves providing cover for respiratory consultant absence, contributing to both general respiratory duties and specific lung cancer clinics. The ideal candidate must have full GMC registration and relevant training, with a strong commitment to teaching and patient care. Salary ranges from £109,725 to £145,478 per annum pro rata.

Qualifications

• Registered medical practitioner on the Specialist Register within six months.
• Evidence of a substantial commitment to the specialty.
• Experience and competence in Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS).

Responsibilities

• Support general respiratory and multi-disciplinary lung cancer service.
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary lung cancer meetings.
• Organise and ensure quality of clinical practice.

Ability to take independent responsibility for patient care

Good communication skills

Commitment to teaching and supervising junior staff

Education

Primary Medical Qualification

Full GMC Registration

MRCP(UK) or equivalent

Higher Degree
