About the Role

Level 3 Multi‑Skilled Engineer

Location: Hereford
Shift Pattern: 6-week rotating shift pattern (42 hours per week)

Purpose of the Role

As a Level 3 Multi‑Skilled Engineer, you will develop plant reliability and operational performance by implementing robust maintenance strategies and resolving plant issues and breakdowns. You will routinely apply your expertise across a wide range of equipment and disciplines, ensuring downtime is minimised and operational capability is maximised.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities with due consideration for safe plant operations and product quality
  • Conduct fault finding and respond to breakdowns across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance plant capability and equipment reliability
  • Participate in plant improvements, modifications, and capital investment projects
  • Coach, mentor, and support engineers and operational technicians as appropriate
  • Act as a subject matter expert on plant equipment and technologies
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to all engineering procedures
  • Work collaboratively with operations teams to support overall site performance
What We’re Looking For
  • Time‑served multi‑skilled apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
  • Level 3 technical certificate and NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline
  • HNC in a relevant engineering discipline preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills across multiple engineering areas
  • Proactive and dynamic approach to safety
  • Technical leadership skills and the ability to mentor colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills and team‑working ability
