Lecturers in MFA Fine Art Studio Practice

Goldsmiths, University of London is recruiting two part-time Lecturers in MFA Fine Art Studio Practice to join its internationally respected School of Art. Working within a dynamic, student-centred environment, you will provide tutorial and curriculum delivery across the MFA Fine Art programme. You will lead a personal tutor group, assess student progress, and offer bespoke sessions informed by your specialist artistic practice. The roles also involve admissions and contribution to research output. You should be a practicing artist with a strong international profile, excellent knowledge of contemporary art theory and practice, and a commitment to teaching within an inclusive, interdisciplinary framework.

Artistic Practice – Active professional artist with international standing

Higher Education Teaching – Proven teaching experience in Fine Art at postgraduate level

Tutorial Leadership – Ability to mentor and lead student tutor groups

Contemporary Art Knowledge – Strong grasp of current discourses and studio practice in fine art

Assessment & Feedback – Skilled in evaluating student work and delivering constructive feedback

Curriculum Development – Capacity to design and deliver original learning sessions rooted in artistic expertise

Research Profile – Commitment to contributing to REF-submittable research and departmental research culture

FTE & Hours: One post at 0.5 FTE (17.5 hours/week), one post at 0.3 FTE (10.5 hours/week)
Salary: £44,186 – £49,102 per annum (pro-rated)
